A Must-Visit for RC Fans! My Trip to TAMIYA PLAMODEL FACTORY TOKYO (Photo Tour)

TAMIYA PLAMODEL FACTORY TOKYO

As a huge fan of RC cars, I finally made the pilgrimage to a place I’ve always wanted to visit: TAMIYA PLAMODEL FACTORY TOKYO. I stopped by after work and was blown away by what I found inside.

Join me on a photo tour of this amazing store, a must-visit destination for RC hobbyists of all levels.

An Incredible Welcome: The 1/1 Scale Aero Avante

The first thing you see upon entering is a stunning, full-scale model of the Mini 4WD “Aero Avante.” The sheer size and incredible detail will stop you in your tracks.

The sleek entrance builds anticipation for what’s inside.
The scale is just breathtaking. Every detail is perfectly crafted.
It looks amazing from every angle! A perfect photo opportunity.

From Nostalgic Classics to Modern Machines

Next, I headed to the RC model display area, which showcases a fantastic lineup of Tamiya’s most iconic vehicles.

Re-Released Classic Buggies

I was immediately hit with a wave of nostalgia seeing these legendary models that many of us grew up with.

  • The Grasshopper
  • The Hornet
  • The Hotshot
The original box art is just as exciting today as it was back then.

Legendary Racers and the Latest Buggy

Further in, the legendary “Avante” was displayed right next to the hot new “BBX” buggy. Seeing these two iconic models side-by-side was a spectacular sight.

The BBX’s modern and aggressive design is just so cool.

Big-Tire Trucks

In the next section, powerful big-tire models like the Lunch Box and the Monster Beetle were also on display.

With so many incredible models, it’s easy to lose track of time.

A Customizer’s Dream: The Parts Paradise

The floor dedicated to RC car parts is a hobbyist’s dream come true. The walls are lined with an immense selection of parts, offering everything you need for any customization project you can imagine.

This incredible selection opens up endless possibilities for building a unique machine.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, making it a comfortable shopping experience even for beginners.
