[Custom] Grasshopper Wide Tread Mod using Lunch Box Evo Parts

I’m working on improving the stability of my Tamiya Grasshopper.

Today, I’m performing a wide-tread conversion using parts from the Lunch Box Evo.

This mod provides a more stable stance and improves cornering performance.

Parts Selection: Lunch Box Evo Rear Shaft

By using this slightly longer shaft, I can extend the track width.

It’s a perfect way to give the Grasshopper a more aggressive look.

To fill the gap, I used one 1150 bearing and two 0.8mm spacers.

This combination ensures a secure fit with minimal play.

This setup achieves an effective wide-tread increase of about 5.5mm.

The wider stance is clearly visible in the comparison photo.

The car now sits wider, which should significantly improve handling on corners.

Borrowing parts from the Lunch Box Evo is a great way to customize the Grasshopper.

It’s an easy upgrade that offers immediate improvements in handling.
