To unlock the full potential of our DT-04 chassis, we’re focusing on reinforcing the rear end. This time, we’re swapping out the stock plastic components for high-precision aluminum parts. The main goal is to minimize suspension flex during hard driving, leading to more consistent and precise handling.

The Aluminum Hop-Ups
We will be replacing two key components.
1. AL Rear Lower Arm for DT-04
This is a beautifully machined aluminum rear lower arm from Eagle Racing.

2. AL Rear Hub for DT-04
The matching rear hub, also from Eagle Racing. Combined with the lower arms, this should provide a significant boost in rigidity.

The Installation
Here is a look at the rear suspension before the swap. We had already upgraded the upper arms and universal shafts in a previous build. Today, we’re focusing on the lower arms and hubs.

And here is the rear end after the installation. The lower arms and hubs are now sleek, black aluminum. This instantly gives the buggy a more serious, race-ready appearance.

Here is an angled view from the front. The sharp, mechanical texture of the machined aluminum is fantastic. You can almost feel the increased rigidity just by looking at it.

A great feature of these lower arms is the ability to choose from four different shock mounting positions. This allows for fine-tuning the suspension setup based on track conditions.

A Unified Eagle Racing Rear End
Here’s a final shot from the rear with all parts installed. The entire rear suspension setup—adjustable upper arms, lower arms, hubs, and universal shafts—is now composed of Eagle Racing parts. This unified approach aims for total performance enhancement.

That’s all for this round of upgrades. With the increased rigidity, the buggy’s responsiveness should be noticeably improved.
