[Speed Test] Tamiya DT-04 Brushless Upgrade Hits 47.4 km/h!

DT-04 Fighter Nexgen

Building on my previous speed test, I’ve taken this build to the next level.

This time, I performed a full “brushless motor upgrade” on the DT-04.

Let’s see how much top speed we can gain with high-power electronics.

Brushless System Components

The DT-04 setup and ready for the brushless speed run.

I replaced the stock-style setup with a high-output brushless system.

The core components used for this upgrade are:

  • Motor: HOBBYWING QuicRun 3652SL G2 4000KV
  • ESC: HOBBYWING QuicRun 10BL120 G2
The newly installed motor and ESC neatly laid out inside the chassis.

Speed Run at the Park: The Results

With everything prepped, I headed to the park for a high-speed test run.

Managing the explosive acceleration required careful throttle control.

The GPS speedometer clocked a top speed of “47.4 km/h.”

The result: an incredible **47.4 km/h**!

This completely shatters my previous record of 38.7 km/h.

The performance boost from the brushless conversion is undeniable.

Conclusion

Going brushless on the DT-04 delivered phenomenal results.

Hitting 47.4 km/h provides an absolute adrenaline rush for an off-road buggy.

Stay tuned as I look for more ways to tweak the setup and push for an even higher record!
