I’m excited to announce that the Mighty Frog chassis is finally complete.
Let’s dive into the details of this iconic assembly.
The Finished Chassis: Full Overview

First, let’s admire the completed form from the front.
The silhouette is imposing and classic Tamiya.

The side view reveals the functional beauty of the space frame.
I swapped the stock front wheels for a black set I had on hand.
It adds a modern, aggressive touch to this vintage buggy.
Deep Dive: The Unique Front Suspension

The front suspension is undoubtedly the highlight of this kit.

The horizontal springs tucked inside the frame are legendary.
Assembling this complex mechanism is a joy for any RC enthusiast.

I studied the manual closely to ensure every link was perfect.
Building it myself helped me truly appreciate the engineering.
Seeing the suspension cycle smoothly is extremely satisfying.
Power Unit & Custom Upgrades

I replaced the stock motor with a Tamiya Sport Tuned unit.
This provides a great balance of speed and efficiency for the Frog.
With the chassis done, the project is really coming together.
I’m currently brainstorming the final body color scheme.
Stay tuned for the next update on painting and decaling!
